With a passion for painting at a young age, JONATHAN BETH moved from Israel to England to Italy, in order to broaden his artistic horizons. He came to California in 1994 and lives with his wife Juliana in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Over the past few years, he took an interest in photography and digital tools, combining fine art painting with photography to create photo painting. He produces fine art photographs that are artistically inspired and technically first-rate. In his work Jonathan strives to translate the beauty around him – a fleeting moment – into something permanentand timeless, eliciting the same wondrous feelings he experienced himself from his viewers when they view the piece. Landscapes, weddings, events, and portraiture are his specialities. This will be a one-of-a-kind show!
A native of Washington state, VANCE BALTER is a renowned wood sculptor whose life by the sea has inspired much of his work. He enjoys woodworking as well as sculpting art pieces from ethically gathered wood sources and making use of overlooked remnants from the root portions of trees. He creates his own underwater stories of sea life in sculptures and relief carvings of superb quality. His work has been on exhibit in a number of art galleries in Spain, California, Oregon, and Washington. Now a local resident, Vance works out of his shop in Sutter, California. He enjoys using his lathe to produce heirloom rolling pins and cutting boards made from highly figured woods. In 2018 he launched “Vance’s Handyman Services” and has been busy with his newest endeavor ever since. His work is always a labor of love as visitors will agree when they view his marvelous artistry.
